I trained originally in Music Theatre but having been selected from over 10,000 applicants to perform in the inaugural Old Vic New Voices 24 hour plays in 2005, I switched my focus to work primarily on “straight” theatre, film, TV and radio. I’ve made films in London, LA, Paris and Yorkshire; worked alongside actors such as Glenda Jackson, Maggie Smith, Elizabeth Hurley and Benedict Cumberbatch; been directed by Sir Alan Ayckbourn, Roger Spottiswoode and Stephen Poliakoff and collaborated on plays by writers such as Mike Bartlett, Sir Alan Ayckbourn, Duncan MacMillan and Torben Betts.
What do you love about dancing?
Dance is my first love. It is how I relax, let loose, express myself. When I’m dancing, I’m free!
What do you like about working at Dance Expression?
Anna and Lucy have built a wonderful centre that brings joy to everyone who walks through the door. I’m thrilled to be part of it.
What's your favourite thing about teaching?
I love seeing people express themselves through drama/ dance/ music and I get a real thrill watching people’s skills improve.
